First Clinic at our new rink!

By Rob Zinke 01/08/2024, 9:30am MST

We had our first Spearfish clinic of the new year

We had our first Spearfish Clinic for the new year at the Bergan's rink on Saturday. This was a great time for everyone to get on the ice, even if there was a few spots still needing to be frozen.

This is a great addition for the Chinook that allows us some more ice time outside our normal clinics to help prep for tournaments and other games.

We will continue to have as many practices as we can, but we do need everyone's help-the rink is huge and requires maintenance. As a part of the new year, the board has finalized that all player parents will need to volunteer at least 3 hours per player to help with things such as rink maintenance, fundraising, and our pond hockey tournament.

We are implementing the DIBS system located on the website to help us track hours for everyone.

About the Northern Hills Chinook

The Northern Hills Amateur Hockey Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of youth hockey, figure skating, and recreational skating in the Northern Black Hills of South Dakota.  We invite you to join us in our efforts to bring hockey and a rink to Spearfish. Finding a location for the rink has been challenging to say the least, but hopefully we meet that challenge soon and take it to the next level.

We still have a way to go, and fundraising is our next big step. You can aid the cause by clicking on the donate tab because every little bit helps. If you are considering corporate partnership, please contact one of our board members and we can share our vision and options with you.

Help us bring hockey and ice skating to the Northern Hills. #ItsTime
