President Servaty welcomed and introductions were made.

Motion to approve Previous Minutes. Second. Carried. 

• The current account balance is $38,537.08

The Board had a Quick summary of our Parent/Coaches recap meeting from Feb. 1st. Great positive feedback from parents. The following items will be addressed. 

• More efficient communication

• Calendar with practice dates for winter sessions

Mark discussed Quickbooks. There will now be new logins for everyone and P&L and balance reports each month going forward. 

Committee updates:

-Rink Procurement: 

• The Board reviewed a Canvas Shed cover & chiller option for outdoor rink.

• Belle Fourche HS has finished shed 

-Pond Hockey Tournament: Tournament recap -Dennis

• Silent Auction raised -$2,317.00

• The event raised $11,353

• The committee is creating binder on how to put on the tournament 

-Technology: Update -Rob

• The Communication methods moving forward will be Sports Engine messaging, Chinook FB group and chats. 

-Downtown Friday Nights

• We will have a booth again this summer, we have volunteers that have offered to work the Hometown Thursday Nights in Belle Fourche. We need to order a second table cloth.  

-Youth Hockey Program

• 2024 Winter Clinic Registrations -open thru our website

• Saturday morning 8-10am at Madison Ice Rink -Spearfish

• The board though it would be a great idea to  schedule weekly dryland practices at Rec Center. Will research and talk with coaches. 

-Fundraising/Finance -Mark, Helen, Brandy

• Chase the Ace

  • Mark provided an overview of the process. We will kick off the event February 20th with the first drawing February 27th at The Stadium in Spearfish. (Please see attached docs that explain the program).

  • Will need prizes for when someone draws a Joker. 

  • Destyn with 605 media will create a video to advertise. 

• Motion to use $2500 to kick off the chase the Ace for seed money. Second. Carried. 

• Trip Raffle -400 tickets at $25 a piece. We have sold almost have the tickets. 

• Sponsorship Packages are updated and ready to go. 

• Badland Sabres Chinook weekend was a fun event. 50/50 raised about $150 each night. The players had a blast.

Trip raffle ticket drawing -March 1st 

Brandy will register the Rushmore Mites Jamboree (March 1-3rd, 2024) This will be 10 and under.
