Welcome and introductions were made.

                                  

Motion to approve the minutes. Second. Carried.  

 

The current balance is $42,517.69.

 

Introduce new Board member candidates: Jamie Danko, Chris Gasbarre, and Derek Lund

 

Motion to approve Jamie Danko, Chris Gasbarre, and Derek Lund. Second. Carried. 

 

The Rushmore Mites Jamboree was a success. The players continue to improve. 

 

Committee updates:

 

-Rink Procurement: 

• Brandon Valley reached out about the availability of their chiller. The recommendation from Refrigeration Company is to offer between $10,000-$20,000.

• Storage Shed is completed. Brandy will contact the school to make arrangements for pick up with students, board members, Round-Up staff, school staff and students. 

 

-Pond Hockey Tournament: 

Motion to approve January 25, 2025 as the date for next years pond hockey tourney. Second. Carried. 

• We are continuing to work on creating binder on how to put on the tournament.

 

-Technology: Update -Rob

• Rob is going to work on Parents welcome packet

  • How to download SportsEngine

  • How to join FaceBook Group 

  • Raffle

  • Chase The Ace

  • Downtown Friday Nights and Hometown Thursdays

 

-Downtown Friday Nights(Spearfish) and Hometown Thursdays (Belle)

• We will have a booth again this summer in Spearfish and Belle Fourche.

 

-Youth Hockey Program

• The weather has brought our Saturday 8-10am at Madison Ice Rink in Spearfish to an end.

• Motion to approve an additional 2 weeks for Thursday evening dryland practices at Rec Center. Second. Carried. 

 

• The board will work on completing an application for consideration for  assistance with some of the upcoming local hockey camps and registration in the form of a scholarship.

 

-Fundraising/Finance -Mark, Helen, Brandy

• Chase the Ace

  • Discussion regarding moving the time to 7pm and having raffle tickets to hand out. We will continue to improve each week. 

  • Motion to approve $50 to purchase Facebook Ad for Chase the Ace. Second. Carried. 

 

• Trip Raffle -We sold all 400 tickets!

  • Easton Hartman was the winner and will work with Mark to get the trip booked. 

 

• Sawyer Brewing Day of caring for NH Chinook Youth Hockey -Feb. 21st  

  • Brandy will contact Sawyer’s Brewery to see what the outcome was from the event on February 21st. 

 

• Badland Sabres Chinook weekend -We received check for $3,585

  • Thank you again to Yesway for sponsoring jerseys!

 

• Sponsorship Packages 

  • Brandy will email out an updated sponsorship package packet to board members to begin working on sponsors for next season. 

 

• Dennis will Schedule a meeting to create budget.
